 Mission Statement
My goal is to relay my belief in the people of this great nation. A belief in our ability to overcome obstacles and emerge stronger and more prosperous than before. A belief that the individual, working toward his own goals, is vastly superior to any program, handout, or "incentive" government can devise. With determination, individual effort, courage, morality, and--above all--faith in our Sovereign Lord, we can secure the Blessings of Liberty for our selves and our future generations.

On the ensuing pages you will find editorial and commentary covering a wide range of subjects and events. I hope that you find these thoughts presented in an entertaining and understandable manner. If they make you think so much the better! The works contained herein are offered without apology. If you are offended by the promotion of liberty over the intrusive power of government, or by exercising common sense and logic over brainless propaganda and liberal sentiment you are likely in the wrong place. However, I hope you will stay, for I am firmly convinced that anyone assessing the concepts of Conservatism with an open mind will see and adopt the timeless values it contains.

Thanks for visiting!

 About the Name:
therightslant.com was chosen to reflect my views on life, liberty, government, politics, and the world in general. The previous name, eatananimal.com, didn't accurately reflect the variety of topics I cover on these pages. The black and white color theme might seem dull to some visitors. But the choice is significant in light of the site's purpose. You'll note there is no gray to be found on these pages (except for the picture of me in a gray suit). Every position, opinion, statistic, and fact is presented without the so-called gray areas of modern debate. The only exception to the black and white theme are the various links to pages or files.  Neither black nor white shows well on itself, so a third color was needed to differentiate between visited and unvisited links. I choose green for this purpose in tribute to therightslant.com's forerunner... eatananimal.com.
